Day 22
Lake Tahoe
Happy Thanksgiving to all. We are thankful to our humans for including us in this excellent adventure.

Today we hiked to the top of a mountain with our friend Max and his friend Mystic. Later in the day a bunch of people and dogs came to our lake house for turkey. The best part was getting to help clean the pans. We ended the day in front of a roaring fire.

Day 21

Lake Tahoe
Rumor has it our lake house is haunted. We don’t care, it’s awesome.  We get to run in the freezing water and hike in the nearby mountains. This afternoon our humans got really busy in the kitchen so we got busy with some big bones on our deck. We smell some really good smells coming from the kitchen….

Day 20
Mt. Shasta CA to Lake Tahoe NV: 275 miles
Sunshine is just the best.  We enjoy a nice hike in the shadow of Mt. Shasta and hit the road for a long drive. We arrive at our new home away from home for the next week: Lake Tahoe. We have visited here many times before but never in the winter. No snow but boy is it cold. We are lucky dogs to have this big old lake house.

Day 19
Eugene OR to Mount Shasta CA: 250 miles:
Eugene is a little better this morning as it’s not raining so hard. We drive for hours and hear our humans say how spectacular the views of southern Oregon are. We arrive in a town with a huge white mountain. The air is crisp and cold but no rain! We are so happy to go out and explore. We are at the BW Tree House Motor Inn and they love dogs here so much their vending machines have dog treats!

Day 18
Seattle WA to Eugene OR: 300 miles
We had to tear ourselves away from Miss Ollie’s warm hospitality and start heading south. It’s raining and cold but our back seat nest is just fine for a day of snoozing while our humans drive. It’s raining hard and we are not amused. It never stops.

It’s Saturday and there they go. The humans are off to shop, have lunch and do all the cool things to do in Seattle. Ollie has promised to show us where all the doggie treat are hidden.

Day 16
Seattle
Ollie’s house is right next to Discovery Park.  It is an urban wilderness with 150 species of wildlife in its woods and beaches. We had a great 5 mile walk and met lots of Seattle dogs. This is a great place for dogs. Our humans are enjoying all the cool city things.

Day 15
Seattle
We are officially half way through our journey. Ollie’s house is nice and cozy. Thank god because it’s wet outside. We are wimps and prefer to stay inside bundled up.

Day 14
Gearhart OR to Seattle WA: 200 miles
We take one last 4 mile walk through the woods and our Oregon beach before hitting the road again. Highway 101 goes over some big bridges and small fishing towns until we hit the big city. Our friend Ollie has invited us to come and stay.

Day 13
Gearhart OR Beach House
What a difference a day makes. The power is back on and the house is intact. Many of the trees we enjoyed peeing on have been blown down. The storm waves turned our beautiful dunes into sand dunes. But it’s over. We even saw a rainbow and some deer ventured by. We can enjoy our wide open beach runs again. Our humans are happy the Internet is back up.
